Welcome to Island Hockey 101 website, the Island's only adult, co-ed, beginner and intermediate hockey league. We are opening registration for our 09/10 season May 1st. We host 6 tiers of hockey with tier 6 as a safe haven for the "brand new to ice hockey" player. We welcome players of all calibre, but specifically exist to provide hockey for the beginner. We promise the most customized experience you can have for hockey with things like our ALL STAR BREAK GAMES during Christmas and prizes for Tier Champions at the end of the season.

We have BOSTON PIZZA SAANICH PLAZA location booked on August 25th at 7:30pm for our orientation night. This is an opportunity to meet our league sponsors this year and find out what fantastic deals you get as part of 101. You will also receive your scoresheets for the season and learn about new things we're incorporating into our website for 2010/2011. Please make sure your captain or a representative from your team will be able to make it! Looking forward to seeing you there.

Pre-season is now viewable. As we double-check the schedule, small changes may be made. The pre-season serves to determine if some teams are better off in other tiers. Captains are not yet allowed to upload players to their rosters but an email will be sent when that option is open. We are working on the player database before the season start! Thanks for your patience.

WE ARE FULL FOR NEXT SEASON! We have 50 teams registered and we're working hard to see if we can secure some more ice to accept at least a few of the 20 teams that have been wait listed to play. Individual registration is also full.
If you are an existing captain and have vacancies on your team, please contact me as I do have individual players hoping to squeeze onto existing teams.
If you are one of the teams or players on a waitlist and have other leagues to play in, I encourage you to register there as I cannot guarantee if we can get more ice. If we do secure more ice, I can't guarantee I'll be able to accept you with the number of people waiting. Teams on the waitlist are prioritized by past experience in our league (if any) and the tier the team is requesting to play in.
